BUILDING THROUGH STONES

Hebrews 11v10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
There is a biblical narrative that draws an accurate picture of what it means to build without God. The bible tells us about how after the flood of Noah, the whole earth had one language and the people had said to one another, “…Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” Genesis 11v3-4. The rest of this narrative ends with a failed building project and it was dubbed Babel, which means confusion (Genesis 11v5-9). Take note that they used bricks instead of stones, and the principle here is that bricks are man-made, but stones were created by God, this can be compared to human wisdom through which one builds instead of divine wisdom. Therefore, I counsel you to build your life, calling, career, marriage, church or business, one stone at a time, by applying basic biblical principles of building. God’s divine wisdom is found in the scriptures, because they reveal to us how God thinks and does things. Abraham was a great man of faith, and he sought for a city with foundations, whose builder and maker is God, therefore, we can only attract greatness in our lives if we allow God to be our builder and maker. PROPHETIC DECLARATION: May the spirit of wisdom come upon you as you seek for His ways in the scriptures, in Jesus’ name! “Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your divine wisdom, as I build my life, family, career or business, thank you that You inspire and guide me and You grant me the grace to build according to Your patterns….”
