2nd Thessalonians 3v10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
It is important for us to understand that building involves a lot of work, it is not for lazy people, the bible says, “The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.” Proverbs 21v25. So, it is not enough to desire a good life, family and calling, one needs to arise and build what he or she desires. Those who were building the wall in the book of Nehemiah succeeded because they had the mind to work, “So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.” Nehemiah 4v6.
I look at the word B.U.I.L.D as an acronym that stands for: Be Undeterred In Laboring Diligently. So, if you want to build anything great, you must be prepared to put in the hours of work and be diligent. You have to work on yourself, your family, and calling, and diligently so. Diligence is fundamental in any form of pursuit of greatness, and it can be defined as having or showing care and conscientiousness in one’s work or duties; this means that you have to take your building ventures very serious, whatever they are and at whatever level they are at. One of the things Paul said emphatically to Timothy and to the Thessalonian church is that they must put in the work if they want to be effective builders of their lives and of the church (2nd Timothy 2v15; 1st Thessalonians 4v11).
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I see God blessing the works of your hands, in Jesus’ name!
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your grace and blessing upon my life, that as I develop the mind to work, you grant me the strength to work and be productive in all my endeavors…
