Psalm 145v13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

One of the characteristics of the Kingdom of God is, influence. The Lord Jesus Christ likened the Kingdom of God to leaven, in that you put a small portion of it in the flour until it is all leavened (Matthew 13v33). Influence is defined as the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something. Our success of bringing Kingdom Impact is only definite when we have influenced the next generation with the Kingdom of God. We all have a limited time here on earth (Psalm 90v10), we come and do our part and then leave to be with Lord, but what we do must impact the next generation, it must be a foundation of the future. It is normally said that “there is not success without a successor”.

The bible says, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.” Proverbs 13v22. As good men and women, we must leave a rich legacy for our children, not just in monetary terms, but something that will promote or exalt them and help them to start at a higher level than ours (Proverbs 3v35 KJV). Only a parent with a mindset and attitude of a family builder can leave such a legacy behind for his or her children. We must not just leave our children with only monuments of tombstones that are erected in our memory, but we must be intentional about building a lasting legacy for them, so that they can remember us because of it. The greatest legacy we can leave for our children is a legacy that is from God, the legacy of His Kingdom. The Lord Jesus Christ received this legacy of the Kingdom of God, when He died on the cross for our sins. We have now received this Kingdom because of our faith in Jesus, we must then pass it on to our children, and their children. Our Lord is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I see you building a lasting legacy for your children and their children, in Jesus’ name!

“Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your grace upon my life, I will rise and build a lasting legacy for my children in Jesus’ name….”
