Habakkuk 2v2 Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.
It is common practice that any person who has a desire to build any kind of structure, must first have a plan for it before they can start building. This process is necessary for the builder because it will help him or her to prepare well for what they want to build. David had it in his heart to build a house for the ark of the Lord, and he prepared for it (1st Chronicles 28v2). Preparing for what you build helps you to think things through and gather all the resources you have that will help you to start building. A plan helps us outline the details of our venture, to take time to interrogate the possible outcome and to also foresee obstacles and challenges we might face. So, when you have a plan, you can have a mental picture of what you are building and compare it to your vision. Note that a vision of what you want to build is a prerequisite, an architect cannot help you effectively if you don’t have a proper vision of what you want to build, so it is important to first have a vision about your life, family, career, calling, or business, so that you can develop a plan for it. Without a proper vision (Proverbs 29v18), what we want to build will take any shape and might not yield the desired results. It is said that “Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now”. Therefore, write down plainly what you envision in your mind as inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that you can know what to do to get your vision off the ground. PROPHETIC DECLARATION: May God inspire you to develop a plan for what He has called you to do, in Jesus’ name! Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your provision as I prepare to build what I envision for my life, family, career or business…
