Luke 6v48 “He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.”
Every great building requires a solid foundation or strong pillars, and this is something a builder begins with. Do not be intimidated by the greatness of what you want to build and look at all that is involved and be discouraged by it but start where you are with what you have and what you know and put one stone at a time. Remember that if your foundation is not strong, what you are building will inevitably collapse one day. The bible says, “If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” Psalm 11v3.
You can be the greatest prayer warrior, or the most righteous person alive, but if you ignore the basics, you will not achieve anything great or whatever overnight success you might have “attained” will collapse anytime. Any builder can tell you that the higher the building, the more you need to dig deep and go down before you can go up. The same is true with plants, before they bear fruit upward, they must first take root downward (1st Samuel 37v31). The Lord Jesus Christ said when we hear His word and apply it, we are like a builder that lays a solid foundation so that when the storms come, what they are building will stand firm. Therefore, let us take time to apply God’s word in our life, doing what the Lord is telling us to do, in that way, we will be laying a solid foundation (Ezra 6v3).
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I see a solid foundation in your life as you apply God’s word, in Jesus’ name!
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the grace and wisdom to lay down a solid foundation in my life, family and calling…
